About Brickstone's Principals

Ben Benita

Ben has been an active real estate investor for more than 6 years. He started helping homeowners with short sales and loan modifications in 2005 and has helped more than 400 families in need of foreclosure assistance. Ben brings a unique perspective to short sales since he himself went through a bankruptcy and knows first hand what it's like to be in financial distress. Not many people have as much experience dealing with banks on homeowners' behalf as Ben does.

Michael Blank

Michael made the transition into full-time entrepreneur in 2005. He is the owner of several franchise restaurants and is buying, renovating, and selling residential property in the metro Washington D.C. area. He began negotiating short sales in early 2009 and formed Brickstone Financial together with Ben Benita in April 2009. Micahel was a founding member of webMethods, an enterprise software company, where he experienced rapid growth from startup to $200 million in revenue, initial public offering (IPO), and several mergers and acquisitions; his background includes software development, marketing and sales. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science (which doesn't do diddley for entrepreneurship!) from the College of William and Mary. Michael is fluent in German and conversational in Spanish. He loves fly fishing, competitive tennis, and traveling. He lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife and four children.
